  • For the third time in a week, DHHS did not properly update the dashboards.
  • In recent days, they have listed someone’s email address and “o” as towns. 
  • Yesterday they listed “Derr” (in addition to Derry), and Thorton (in addition to Thornton) as towns.
  • In the past month, there have been 8 days when the vaccination numbers haven’t been updated, and there is one day when the cumulative number of vaccines went down.
  • Perhaps instead of changing the way the website looks, they should be concentrating on accuracy???

On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, DHHS announced 402 new positive test results for COVID-19, for a current PCR test positivity rate of 4.4%. Today’s results include 253 people who tested positive by PCR test and 149 who tested positive by antigen test. There are now 3,313 current COVID-19 cases diagnosed in New Hampshire. Of the results reported today:

  • Because DHHS didn’t properly update the dashboards, we don’t have any data for Salem, and limited info for the county.
  • Today the new cases “by math” (yesterday vs. today’s cumulative total of positive cases as reported by DHHS) were 385. NH reported 359 people have “recovered” since yesterday’s update. After allowing for those who lost their lives today because of COVID-19, NH’s number of active cases went up by 26 to 3,313 since yesterday. That’s 200 more active cases than we had a week ago.
  • NH has had 388.9 new cases per 100K residents in the past 14 days. Yesterday, it was 381.7. One week ago, it was 351.1.
  • NH’s positivity rate for PCR & antigen results in the past week is 4.9%. Yesterday it was 4.9%. One week ago, it was 4.8%.
  • NH’s positivity rate for PCR results returned today is 4.4%, which is “moderate” community transmission. Yesterday it was 11.8%. A week ago, it was 1.9%.
  • DHHS is reporting a total of 1,236 people who have been hospitalized as of today because of COVID-19.  This is an increase of 2 since yesterday’s update, and an increase of 32 since last week. There were 0 new hospitalizations today from Rockingham County, leaving our county’s total at 282.
  • The number of patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19 is 94 which is 11 more than yesterday, and 17 more than a week ago. 
  • The cumulative total of ICU admissions increased by 1 for the period covered by this report, bringing the total to 374. We have seen an increase of7 ICU admissions in the past seven days. 
  • Today NH DHHS reported that there were 0 lives lost for the period covered by this report, leaving the total at 1,249 people who have died in NH due to COVID-19. We have lost 11 people in NH due to COVID-19 in the past week. Today’s numbers include 0 people who died from Rockingham County, leaving our total at 229 lives lost in our county.

DHHS reports that the new cases reside in the following counties: 
Rockingham (125), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (65), Merrimack (46), Strafford (24), Grafton (23), Belknap (15), Cheshire (14), Carroll (10), Sullivan (7), and Coos (4) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (34) and Nashua (24). The county of residence is being determined for eleven new cases.
