• • • • • • TODAY’S SPOTLIGHT • • • • • •
- Salem seems to have stabilized. For the past week, we’ve added between four and eight new cases per day.
- The number of active cases in Salem has been the same for the past three days. Rockingham County and New Hampshire have both added more active cases daily for the past few days.
- Salem’s positivity rate and cases per 100K residents are both coming down.
- NH has now had 4,000 healthcare workers diagnosed with COVID-19.
- Only 229 NH people were reported as “recovered” since yesterday’s update. This is less than the number of our new cases, so NH’s number of active cases went up by another 75 to 2,858. This is the third consecutive day that this number has increased, but it has still stayed under 3,000 since Sunday.
- Since the last update, there have been 5 people who have been admitted to the hospital for the first time, including one from Rockingham County.
- Two of those who were hospitalized today are under sixty-years-old. One person was in their 50’s, and the other was in their 20’s.
- The number of patients who are currently in the hospital has finally dropped below 100! Today’s 97 the lowest since November 18.
- NH had one more person admitted to the ICU since the last update, bringing us to 343. This count has gone up by one every day for the last five days.
- Six people died in NH from COVID since the last update, including one from Rockingham County. Two of those who died were in their 50’s.
- NH has lost 11 people from COVID-19 in the past seven days, including five people from long-term care facilities.

The following video was posted almost two months ago. Things have changed in that time. On October 2, US deaths were 1,035,451, according to the video. (My records say 1,033,174 per WorldOmeter.) WorldOMeter now says the global death rate is 1,446,889, an increase of 413,715 in less than two months. Just please remember that there is a lot more between COVID->Death vs. COVID->Recovery. More and more, long-haulers are making the news, as are other consequences of COVID-19.
