- Salem has 22 new cases over the past two days.
- In those two days, and our active cases went down by 29. This is the lowest our active case count has been since December 3.
- DHHS has reported new cases which average 470 over the past week. A few days ago, this was 497. About a week and a half ago, the daily average was 733, and the week before that was 840.
- There are 4,081 active cases today. The last time we went below this was November 19.
- Since the last update, the number of people who have been admitted to the hospital for the first time increased by six.
- There are now 207 people who are currently hospitalized in NH with COVID-19. We had been down to 193 two days ago. Except for that day, the hospital census has been 200 or higher since January 8, when we had a week over 300. It was last below 200 on December 7.
- One more person was admitted to the ICU in the past two days.
- Ten more people died in NH from COVID since the last update, including one person from Rockingham County.
- The press reports for the past two days show all NH deaths over the past two days were people who were 60 years old, or older. However, the dashboard is showing one more death for an individual in their 20’s over the past two days. If the dashboard is accurate, that would bring the total to three deaths for people in their 20’s; on Saturday it was only one death for this age group.

The county of residence is being determined for seventeen new cases.

Hello, Salem!
Stay safe, and always, be kind.

The following video was posted almost two months ago. Things have changed in that time. On October 2, US deaths were 1,035,451, according to the video. (My records say 1,033,174 per WorldOmeter.) WorldOMeter now says the global death rate is 1,446,889, an increase of 413,715 in less than two months. Just please remember that there is a lot more between COVID->Death vs. COVID->Recovery. More and more, long-haulers are making the news, as are other consequences of COVID-19.
