Hello, Salem!

How ARE you doing? We are living in tumultuous times. We are three weeks past the darkest day of the year. Regardless of your political views, events in the past few days are likely unsettling. And, regardless of where you are on the range of emotions regarding COVID-19, you are likely having anxiety of some kind. Add that to the stress of the situation of kids going to school, concerns about the vaccine, missing friends and family, and people are about to explode. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has noticed that people’s tempers are short, and they are more argumentative.

Try to stay positive. Watch out for others; are your friends and family doing ok? Don’t presume … ask them.

If you are feeling blue, or are struggling with feelings of isolation or depression, don’t be afraid to ask for help.

It’s ok to not feel ok. You don’t need to go through this alone. Please, stay safe, and always, be kind.

The following video was posted almost two months ago. Things have changed in that time. On October 2, US deaths were 1,035,451, according to the video. (My records say 1,033,174 per WorldOmeter.) WorldOMeter now says the global death rate is 1,446,889, an increase of 413,715 in less than two months. Just please remember that there is a lot more between COVID->Death vs. COVID->Recovery. More and more, long-haulers are making the news, as are other consequences of COVID-19.
