COVID-19 Update September 20

  • Total: 323 confirmed cases in Salem
  • 1 out of every 91 Salem residents have been infected
  • Salem Today: 0 new cases, 5 active cases

  • It’s a good day for Salem! No new cases and we are down to five active cases.
  • 29 NH Residents had positive test results today; the number of positive cases in NH went up by 27. Since yesterday we saw more new cases than we had seen in over three months, it’s good to see things back down again.
  • The positivity rate today is 1.62%. The daily average for the past seven days is 2.85%
  • Today, per NH DHHS’s dashboard, there was one new child aged 0-9 that was infected, and there were no kids aged 10-19 reported. NH DHHS reported in their press release that 2 kids under 18 were infected. (The math doesn’t make sense to me, but this is what has been reported.)
  • Schools with active or recovered cases:
    • No preschool. 8 elementary schools . 2 middle schools. 10 high schools. 11 Colleges/Universities. (+1)
    • Salem shows one infection, although the high school has reported three kids.
    • Windham is still showing 4 active cases, and 3 recovered cases.
  • 37 more people are no longer considered infectious.
  • No new patients have been hospitalized with COVID-19 for the past three days. However, the number of hospitalized patients has gone up by two.
  • There have been no new COVID-19-related deaths in NH in the past five days.
