These are not simply numbers. We must not forget that these are all someone’s husband or wife, mother or father, sister or brother, son or daughter, friend or neighbor.

I had a busy day today, but then, every day is busy these days. I did meet some lovely people, and I am appreciative of the kindness they shared. And I got to see a baby … and make her smile, even with social distancing! And I made friends with a beautiful Rotti or Rotti-mix. My husband calls me the “baby-whisperer,” the “dog-whisperer,” the “horse-whisperer,” and the “cat-whisperer!” Right now, I like being the “COVID whisperer,” as in, I like to be able to whisper that our numbers are looking really good to me.  But let’s not say it too loud, though, because, despite the fact that we look good, this virus is still lurking around, and we don’t want to wake it up. Stay safe, and always, be kind.
