  • Total: 292 confirmed cases in Salem
  • 1 out of every 101 Salem residents has been infected.
  • Salem Today: 0 new cases, 10 active cases.

  • No new cases were reported today for Salem residents.
  • Results were returned for less than 1,000 tests; with a positivity rate of less than 2%.
  • One child was reported today to have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
  • NH has had over 180,000 negative test results.
  • Hospitalization numbers are unchanged from yesterday’s counts.
  • Sadly, NH lost three more victims of COVID
  • Massachusetts’ positivity rate has been pretty similar to NH. However, today it was up to 4.12%, more than double NH’s numbers. We need to see a sustained elevated rate before becoming alarmed.
  • The number of US cases has now surpassed 5.7Million.

These are not simply numbers. We must not forget that these are all someone’s husband or wife, mother or father, sister or brother, son or daughter, friend or neighbor.

How will kids going back to college affect NH’s test results? Your guess is as good as mine. We’ll know soon enough. Let’s hope there is no blip in our numbers. In the meantime, stay safe, and always, be kind.
